Veil Lengths: Fingertip, Chapel and Cathedral
Our ready-made bridal veils range from 88cm to 550cm, and we can also make veils to a custom length. As a guide, a fingertip veil (around 90–110cm) falls to your fingertips and suits most dress styles. A chapel veil (around 220–250cm) brushes the floor behind you, and a cathedral veil (300cm and longer) trails well past your train for a more dramatic entrance.
1 Tier, 2 Tier and Double Layer Veils
A 1 tier veil is a single layer of tulle for a clean, modern look. A 2 tier veil adds a shorter front layer (the blusher) that can be worn over your face for the processional, then lifted back. Double layer veils add volume and softness without the blusher.
Plain, Pearl, Lace or Rhinestone Details
Choose a plain tulle veil to let your dress lead, or add detail with scattered pearls, a beaded or lace edge, rhinestones or glitter tulle. A mantilla veil has a lace or pearl edge that frames the face, and is draped over the crown of the head rather than pinned high at the back.
Colours to Match Your Wedding Dress
Our ready-made veils come in ivory, which suits most wedding dresses, and some styles also come in champagne. White, cream and other shades are available as custom options. If you're unsure, send us a photo of your dress and we'll help you match it.
Complete the Look
Many brides wear their veil with a bridal tiara or crown, or with a headpiece or hair accessory placed in front of the veil comb.
Wedding Veil FAQs
What length wedding veil should I choose?
Match the veil to your dress and venue. Fingertip veils suit most gowns and are easy to wear all day. Chapel veils suit dresses with a small train. Cathedral veils suit formal ceremonies, long aisles and dresses with a full train.
Ivory or white: which veil colour suits my dress?
Most wedding dresses are ivory or off-white, so an ivory veil is the safest match. A bright white veil can make an ivory dress look yellow. If your dress is true white, ask us about a custom white veil.
Can I wear a veil with a tiara or headpiece?
Yes. Place the veil at the crown or the back of your head, then wear the tiara or headpiece just in front of it. Most of our veils come on a comb; a few are comb-free and are pinned in by your hair stylist.
Do you ship wedding veils Australia-wide?
Yes. Standard shipping is free Australia-wide, and express post is available at checkout. We also ship internationally, and Sydney pickup can be arranged on request.
How long does a custom veil take?
Custom veils take 4–6 weeks to make, plus delivery time. We make veils to custom lengths and in custom colours. Order at least 6–8 weeks before your wedding to allow for delivery. Custom veils are made to order and are final sale.
Can I see the veils before I buy?
Yes. We offer virtual styling appointments by Teams or WhatsApp, where you can see the veils up close. Email info@amorecollective.shop to book.
